In the summer of 2015, Oh My Lard began slinging BBQ grub from a refurbished shipping container and a 50 gallon barrel BBQ on Dundas Street West in Toronto, Ontario. With the goal of creating some of the best tasting BBQ in the city, patrons flocked to the sidewalk destination day after day to get their fingers dirty and devour BBQ ribs, chicken, burgers, pulled pork, street corn and more.
In 2018, Oh My Lard decided to make a change and take the BBQ life mobile with the purchase of a 13 foot, double-barrelled, tow-along rig that can feed a couple hundred folks at a time. Now instead of making your way down to Dundas West, you can bring the BBQ to you.
Owner Kirk Massicotte and his partner Charlotte are passionate about BBQ, family, and a seriously good time. As a seasoned cook who has worked in the Toronto restaurant scene for over 10 years, Kirk is serious about his ingredients and his process. Oh My Lard is careful to use organic, hormone-free and antibiotic-free meats with the help of their trusted butcher, Matthew Cumphries at The Butcher's Son.
